The Duck is competing with the Mouse

We were out shopping yesterday (and miracle, I didn't buy anything) we stopped in the Gap because they were having a great sale. There was nothing in the womens department but Michael found some great deals in the men's department. After making his purchases we were walking out and mentioned to David that he might like to get some shorts for Disneyland. And then with Michael and I helping him he got new shirts and a pair of jeans. He is going to look really good. We are now going to focus on updating his wardrobe. He is now competing with Michael.

Getting Ready for Disneyland

We were at University Mall last night and of course broused around the Disney Store. David saw this pirate hat and fell in love with it. We may have to get him one in September.

$100 Cucumber

I went out to the garden last night and had three zucchini that were ready to be picked, 1 squash, and 1 cucumber (although 4-5 more growing). I was so excited. I didn't have my camera so Michael took pictures for me. I will have to upload them later. My mom keeps kidding that we are growing $100 cucumbers because we never get back in produce the cost of what we plant. We are just glad something grows. I couldn't get the radishes or carrots to grow this year. But my basil, mint, rosemary, chives, squash, zucchini, cucumber, and tomatoes are growing really well. The tomatoes a little too well - the plants are huge.

Harry Potter

Michael, David, and I were at Provo Towne Saturday shopping - of course- and were wandering and Michael walked by the theatre and we noticed that Harry Potter was not sold out for the 6:30 p.m. show so we got tickets and then got in the long ling inside the theatre. But the line was not as bad as we thought because we were able to get seats on the back row (my favorite). We loved it! They did such a great job on the entire series (except for book 3 - it was a little disappointing).

Check it out

I went to the salon last night, and had already decided to go darker, when Nikki walked by and said I should get extensions. So I did - I love it.

Staying the Night

Barbara's girls wanted to stay the night at my house. I took them to the library and they got 10 books - we made it through most of them before going to bed. I was totally exhausted by that time. The next morning, after washing their hair, I styled it for both of them -although Emily was more excited about playing Pokemon on Tyler's Nintendo DS. I also did Sabrina's nails. They had a good time. Michael came and picked them up for me on Saturday as they were preparing to fly back to Colorado. Here they are sitting under a tree waiting for Michael.

AF Carnival

I met up with my family on Friday at the carnival in American Fork. I quickly encouraged the kids to ride the loop coaster ride - mainly because they wanted to but just needed a little encouragement to go on the ride. They didn't ride Splash Mountain at Disneyland - 0k, that is mainly because Barbara was scared of the drop. But, now they will ride anything and really loved it. Afterwards Sabrina wanted to ride this spinning ride which flips you all over and stops, leaving you hanging upside down - but she was too short so I rode it with Emily. The kids had fun.
I only did the two rides but woke up at 3:00 a.m. with a massive headache and nausea. I haven't felt good sense.

Mango Strikes Again

Michael met me down at JC Penney's. I needed to purchase a skillet for work as one of the managers has asked for French toast at the next meeting (more on that). I wasn't planning on buying anything else, but there were so many cute things I just had to have them. And the blue dress that I love, we think we can let the hem out so it is longer and the red dress that I love, we are going to buy some denim material and have a ruffle sewn on the bottom and sleeves - which will go great with my denim wedges. OMG - I can't wait to wear it. It is going to be so cute.
I have decided that Michael is the problem and a bad influence - that's it, I'm cutting you Michael. Just kidding - I could never cut you. I love you too much and you are so much fun to shop with. What would I do without you!

4th of July

The kids wanted to sleep in the tent so David and I set it up for them. He then started chasing them, which they loved. When he would capture them he would put them in the shed, where they would escape and have him capture them all over again. All the kids like playing with David.
We went swimming on Saturday over at Kristina's. JAX was made because he had to stay home with Scott, who was being lazy and just sleeping all day, so JAX pooped on the floor and one of the pillows. That's right JAX - you tell them! They brought him over yesterday too and he had fun playing with the kids.

Gelato at Costco

Saturday night Michael, David, and I went shopping (yes, the addiction is continuing). We stopped by Costco to get some ice-cream. Their gelato is pretty good especially the pistachio. We stopped by Michael's to get Michael's print from Carl Bloch framed. It is going to look fantastic. Of course stopped by the Disney Store at University Mall and then went down to Provo Towne where I found another Mango outfit. It is really Mango's fault that I can't stop buying. They make so many cute things.

Stylish David

Kristina and I were in awe on Saturday at David's style. He looked awesome and we were amazed at how well he put prints together. Love this on him! We were over at Penney's getting Barbara some shoes and were buying the kids some sandals.

Kiwanis Breakfast

I went on the 1st, 2nd, and 4th to flip pancakes with Kiwanis at our annual fundraiser during the fourth of July. The only negative is that I never got to sleep in as we have to be there quite early. It is in Fox Field, where the balloons take off. This year they had a Darth Vadar balloon and the pilot and co-pilot dressed in costume as Darth Vadar and a storm trooper. Each time the balloon took off they would play music from the movie. It was awesome although the balloon did not go far - just up and over to Provo High School. Saturday, I didn't flip pancakes but poured the batter. Wow, is that a workout. My arms were sore all weekend.

Copy Cat

Barbara is in town visiting with her kids. So we went to Cafe Rio on Friday night and Sabrina kept copying all of David's movements. It was really cute.

Mutti

We surprised Mutti with her purse when we got home. She kept saying that we didn't need to buy it although she was very happy with it.

The Addiction Continues

Michael and I went to Park City to the Outlet shops on Friday. We stopped in at the Aldo store as he is designing the new line of shoes "Call it spring" at JC Penney's. I found a cute pair of flats, purse, and ear rings that I needed for a dress. Our main purpose was to go to the Coach outlet. My sister had been up there and purchased a beautiful lilac Coach purse, which my mom loved. So Michael and I decided to get it for her along with the matching wallet. While in there I was looking around and saw some backpacks and couldn't resist getting one in pink for Disneyland. I had been looking around at the school ones but they just were not me. This was perfect and a great price. They had everything an additional 30% off. We had a ton of fun shopping and before and afterwards had to stop by Penney's to get some stuff from Mango.
