Sweethearts

Tyler had his Sweethearts dance on Saturday and invited a group over for dinner. I love that they come over. I made a simple dinner with roasted balsmic onion salad, stuffed chicken rolls with blue cheese & spinach wrapped in bacon, mashed potatoes, roasted carrots and fresh french bread. For dessert I served fresh pineapple in a brown sugar glaze over vanilla ice-cream. They all really loved it and Tyler's date said that any time I wanted to cook she would come over. You can't receive a better compliment than that. After they left I got everything cleaned up and the tablecloths in the washer but was too tired to work on my gospel doctrine lesson. It was fun but an exhausting day. Tyler had fun at the dance. Sorry, I took pictures of the couples but used Tyler's camera.

Catching Up

It has been a while since I posted so thought I would take a few minutes to write an update. Sorry, no pictures. I dropped my camera off to David because he wanted to get some of my pictures printed.
The New Year is buzzing along. I can't believe it is already February. I'm not complaining as I like things moving ahead. Just wish sometimes we had more time to get things done.
I have two more weeks in my current class and then one more class before I graduate. Very excited to see the end so close. I am thinking of starting my PhD in June. I had wanted to start in April and not take a break but my last class ends too late. Oh well, I guess a small break will not hurt.
We are busy trying to plan our cruise to Baja, Mexico and plan on leaving at the end of May or beginning of June. I need to get working on it again as soon as I can find a spare minute.
Tyler had a ballroom competition on Friday & Saturday and did really well. He is a good dance and it was fun to see him shake his hips. We think it was the mango yogurt drink at Bombay House (Indian Food)or maybe it was the curry. He does not have a good dance partner. She kept laughing, stopping, and talking throughout the performance. There are some really good competitors even at young ages. Very impressive.
Tyler received a perfect score on his first EMT test and his CPR. He also received A's in Film Lit. and Psychology. He completed his third term of Algebra II online and we happy just to have it out of the way. We are hoping to get through the fourth quarter much faster.
The new siding on mother's home is completed and looks really good. We are looking forward to warmer weather and growing our herb garden again. I always need something when I am trying out a new recipe and miss it. Also, watching movies outside with a projector and spending time together.
Tyler is busy preparing for his mission, graduation, and EFY. I think he is going to Argentina. We cannot wait for the months to speed ahead and find out.
