I couldn't resist

I was out shopping, picking up some things for work and saw this notebook with Cruella on it and just couldn't resist buying it. It just brings a smile to my face.

More Shopping

Michael, David, and I went out shopping again yesterday. We have been looking at dryers because David wanted to get a new one for my mom. We stopped by Cafe Rio for some refueling and then headed down to Provo Towne, where David purchased a dryer from Sears and then we went shopping. Kristina called and met us down at the mall and Michael and I introduced her to the world of MGN by Mango and Call it Spring at JC Penney's. We completely wore her out, having her try on multiple clothes and shoes. But we all had a blast. David bought her a white Mango suit and Michael got her some killer heels (Of course I already have both). Yes, Mango and Call it Spring are my new addiction and they have so many cute things I do not own yet. Resist Heidi! My new goal is to wear everything in my closet and not repeat myself - Decisions are the worst!
We got home after 9:00 p.m. and then Michael went with me back down to RC Willey to purchase a dryer and I ended up purchasing a new range as well. I seriously have the best brothers in the world.

My Favorite Swickard

is JAX the dog! No offense Kristina, but you just can't help loving that dog. He is always so excited and does not discriminate. He simply loves everyone and jumps all over you and races around like a crazed maniac. He is simply hilarious. Yep, definately my favorite Swickard. They came over on Sunday and Jax raced all over the house and the yard. Although it was a close second between greeting someone and trying to jump up and get Michael's food. Everyone wants to eat Michael's food. I don't know why but it just tastes better on his plate.

Guess Where...

we are going - DISNEYLAND. Yes, I'm excited because I didn't think we were going to be able to go this year. I couldn't work it out with my school schedule and Michael's work schedule. But I was looking over my schedule the other day and it all just came together. Of course I have to fly from Long Beach to Arizona for my residency (Mutti's going with me) but luckily Delta has a flight out of Long Beach. Our trip will be in September, although October is our favorite time to go. But I'm not complaining. We of course will eat at the Blue Bayou and are going to eat at Ariel's Grotto. We are going to pass on the character breakfast this time.

Sunday Dinner

We had a great dinner yesterday. My mom kept commenting that it was better than any restaurant. We made meat loaf and roasted potatoes- one of our favorite ways of eating potatoes - and so easy. But my mom really liked the salad I made. It is her new favorite. You have to try it:

From the Neeley's on Food Network:
cut up some broccoli florets and put them on a baking tray along with cherry tomatoes. Spinkle with salt and pepper, drizzle olive oil and roast in the oven for 20-25 minutes on 400. In a bowl combine arugula and blue cheese (Neeley's add feta but I like blue cheese better). After take the roasted veggies out combine with the salad with a little olive oil drizzled on top. It is really good. And the tomatoes were so sweet - they didn't taste anything like a tomato.

Fun Times

Michael, David, and I went shopping on Saturday and stopped by Applebee's for something to eat. It was alright but not great. The Applebee's in Orem is not as good as it used to be. I haven't eaten anywhere lately where I thought the food was great. We did have fun shopping though.

Leslie also was visiting from Washington and we all went shopping together. It was a lot of fun. It is too bad that she does not live closer. Sorry, no pictures - I forgot my camera.

Kate & Oma's Grave

Michael and I went out to the cemetary a couple of weeks ago. He had put some LED lights - Oma's is a bird (she always loved birds) that changes color and Kate's is a butterfly. They are really cute.

Provo Canyon

A few weeks ago I went up the Canyon with my mom. We walked up to Bridal Veil. The weather was perfect, with a cool breeze although as usual anxious to get around that last bend to the car, which seems to last forever. The first day we saw a beaver at the base of the canyon where water from the power station is low and calm. The beaver was huge and just swam around and looked like he was eating something. I didn't have my camera on me that day - bummer. First time I have ever seen a beaver. There is a ton of water in the river and it is flowing really fast.
